Infection originated in the tooth pulp as a consequence of severely complicated cavities.
Damaging and crumbling the tooth’s enamel, the cavity affects the dentin until it reaches the dental pulp.
At this site, bacteria spread deeply, causing an extensive purulent infection. This type of abscess can also result from severe trauma to the teeth (such as falls or accidents), enough to induce the dental pulp to necrosis (death of the tooth).
